$190.00This hands-on beginner class is your gateway to mastering the art of pattern making. You’ll learn professional techniques, including:
- Taking accurate body measurements.
- Using various paper pattern-making tools like a pro.
- Creating your very own basic skirt block.
In this 4-hour workshop, you’ll cut, sew, and fit your very own skirt sloper. After sewing, our instructor will guide you through a personalized fitting session. You’ll learn how to pin the sloper to the body, make necessary adjustments, and transfer those changes back to the pattern. By the end, you’ll leave with a perfectly fitted skirt block—a foundational piece that can be customized into countless skirt designs!
Why start with a skirt? Even if skirts aren’t your thing, they’re the easiest way to grasp the fundamentals of pattern making.
We’ve got you covered! All materials and tools—including a sewing machine, muslin, zipper, and more—will be provided. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer.
Prerequisite: The Introduction to Home Sewing Machine Workshop and one Sewing Series Workshop (Zipper Bag) are required unless you have prior experience sewing zippers. These sessions provide essential practice with the sewing machine and zipper installation, ensuring students are well-prepared for the Pattern Making I Workshop.

$105.00The Serger Machine Workshop is the perfect way to take your sewing projects to the next level! A serger saves time while giving your seams a professional-quality finish. Designed for edge finishing and hemming a variety of fabrics—including formal wear, linens, and stretch materials—it’s also great for creating ruffles and decorative edges.
In this workshop, you’ll not only learn how to operate a serger but also how to use optional presser feet, such as the Elastic Foot, Cording Foot, Taping Foot, Blind Hem Foot, and Shirring Foot. By the end of class, serging will feel easy, fun, and incredibly fast!
📌 Prerequisite: Completion of the Introduction to Home Sewing Machine Workshop is required.
⚠️ Studio Machines Only: All students must use the serger machines provided in the studio. If you have a personal serger, we recommend booking a 2-Hour Personal Workshop for guidance on your specific machine.
