Once the draping is complete, the fabric is carefully removed and transformed into a sewing pattern for the garment.
In this 4-hour workshop, you’ll learn the foundational skills of draping—a must-have for aspiring designers and DIY clothes-makers. By the end of the session, you’ll know how to create a bodice muslin drape and transfer it to pattern paper, giving you the tools to start crafting your own clothing right away!

In this 4-hour workshop, you’ll cut, sew, and fit your very own skirt sloper. After sewing, our instructor will guide you through a personalized fitting session. You’ll learn how to pin the sloper to the body, make necessary adjustments, and transfer those changes back to the pattern. By the end, you’ll leave with a perfectly fitted skirt block—a foundational piece that can be customized into countless skirt designs!
Why start with a skirt? Even if skirts aren’t your thing, they’re the easiest way to grasp the fundamentals of pattern making.
We’ve got you covered! All materials and tools—including a sewing machine, muslin, zipper, and more—will be provided. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer.
Prerequisite: The Introduction to Home Sewing Machine Workshop and one Sewing Series Workshop (Zipper Bag) are required unless you have prior experience sewing zippers.
